When my daughter was about 2 and a half, she decided that she preferred showers to baths. That was fine, except she couldn't take a shower alone...so each night around 7:30, we'd go up and hop in "mommy and daddy's BIG SHOWER." (Sounds like a fun park ride, doesn't it?) After a few weeks, I found myself wondering whether she was actually too old to shower-share.

Not long after, my "wonder" got an answer...my sweety was happily using her scrubby sponge to clean the shower door, and I had a head full of shampoo when I felt a little hand on my leg. "Mommy, you have f'eckles on your knee! One two fee..." and so on. I rinsed out my hair while she was counting, and then I looked down and she was peeking around my leg.

"Mommy, I see your BUTT!" she said gleefully. Of course, I corrected her - "Honey, we don't say butt. We say bottom." She happily replied "OK! Mommy...you have a biiiiiiig bottom!"

Case closed.
