Judicial Panel and Reception
Tonight! Wednesday, Oct 10, Center for Community Leadership, Raleigh
Seventeen judicial candidates in the November election will be part of the Junior League of Raleigh’s Judicial Panel and Reception.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will include an opportunity for attendees to meet candidates, hear opinions during the panel discussion and participate in break-out groups. WRAL-TV’s Elizabeth Gardner, a meteorologist and Sustaining member of the Junior League of Raleigh, will moderate the panel. For more information, please visit www.facebook.com/JLofRaleigh.
2012 Triangle Run Walk for Autism

Get Heeled 5K
Saturday, Oct. 13 at 9:00am, the Friday Center, Chapel Hill
Meet at 9:00am for the Get Heeled 5K, dedicated to supporting active living, community outreach and families affected by cancer. This year, 100% of the event proceeds will be given to the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center's Pediatric Oncology and Hematology Clinic to assist with Family Support Services.

Football 101

This fun, moms-only clinic will help you develop a fundamental understanding of football in an inviting, relaxed environment. Join other moms just like you to learn a working vocabulary of the rules so you can “talk shop” with your kids, family and friends during football season. The clinic also provides basic hands-on experience with the plays so you can practice (or just toss the ball) with your kids or friends. Light the Night Walk

To the Rescue! Fall Festival
Friday, October 26th at New School Montessori Center on Sunset Lake Rd, Holly Springs
The theme of this year’s festival is big cats. In light of the theme, the New School’s “To the Rescue” festival is partnering with the big cat rescue and wildlife sanctuary organization, Carolina Tiger Rescue. The festival will feature an exhibit by the rescue organization, with an emphasis on conservation of these charismatic and majestic animals. Festival hours are 4pm to 8pm, and many fun activities are in store!
A portion of the festival proceeds will be donated to Carolina Tiger Rescue.
Duke Medicine Ramblin Rose
Women's Half Marathon, Half Marathon Relay, and 5 mile run (new!)

The Duke Cancer Institute (DCI) will be the primary beneficiary of the Duke Medicine Ramblin’ Rose Women’s Half Marathon. The DCI is a single entity which unites cutting-edge cancer research with innovative medical treatments. The DCI enables researchers, doctors, and caregivers to collaborate in their efforts to push toward a cure while providing compassionate care to those diagnosed with cancer.
The Paint It Pink Gala

All proceeds will be donated to 1in9, a breast cancer charity that works closely with UNCs Comprehensive Cancer Center to help women who are currently in treatment but lack the means necessary to continue it.
