Pancake Sausage Fundraiser, July 21, 7:30 - 10:00am
Applebee's Neighborhood Grill, Brier Creek, Raleigh
The Pancake Sausage Fundraiser will take place on Saturday, July 21, 2012 from the hours of 7:30AM to 10:00AM. This fundraiser event will take place ONLY on this date,location and time. Donation is $8.00 and all proceeds benefits BACA Educational Program for Scholarships. For more info contact President Jackie Lyons White at 919-452-1981.
Scoops for Troops, July 21, 11am - 4pm
The Town of Cary will continue to show its patriotism this month with the first-ever Scoops for Troops, a military appreciation event in downtown Cary on July 21. The event features a Military Ice Cream Eating Contest, Ice Cream Churn Off, and the Next Best Flavor Contest, a recipe contest open to the public where citizens can create and submit their own original flavor for judging. Local creamery Lumpy’s Ice Cream will feature the winning flavor for a month!
Citizens are encouraged to come with expired coupons and non-perishable items for donation to troops overseas and their families. The event is cosponsored by the USO of North Carolina, and events will happen on the Downtown Performance Green (corner of Kildaire Farm and Academy Street). Second Chance Pet Adoptions, Open House. July 21, 12pm - 4pm
6003 Chapel Hill Road, Suite 133, Raleigh, NC 27607.
The Open House will include:
-Opportunity to view our newly renovated facilities
-Cat Adoptathon
-Meet our adoptable dogs
-Enjoy an ice cream while shopping with local vendors, who will contribute a percentages of their proceeds to support the rehabilitation and rescue programs of the shelter.
JDRF Appreciation Day at the Carolina Mudcats! Sunday, July 22nd at 2:00 PM at Five County Stadium, Zebulon map & directions
As a THANK YOU for all you do to support Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of the Triangle - we are hoping you will join us on July 22nd for a great day at the ball park! We are pleased to be able to offer you FREE tickets to this game courtesy of The Carolina Mudcats.
JDRF will also be participating in all the "on field" activites during the game: stay tuned for more details on how to sign up for the FUN! We hope to see you there. Jump to Support Autism Speaks at Pump It Up Raleigh. July 25, 6-8pm
Did you know that Autism is one of the most prevalent childhood diseases, but receives very little funding for research? Help raise funds to support Autism Speaks at our Great Open Jump on July 25th. This is a national event sponsored by Pump It Up, and you can join in locally!
The 4th Annual Great Open Jump Event at Pump It Up of Raleigh will be held Wednesday, July 25th 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Head on over to Pump It Up (near Brier Creek) and jump for FREE with a donation to the Autism Speaks Foundation. Call 919.828.3344 for additional details or find them on Facebook.
