Meet the Moms!

Kristen Bagwell –  Founder, Triangle MOM

Kristen is an “almost” Raleigh native, having lived in the Triangle area since 1981. She is also an Appalachian State graduate who started her career as a marketing professional immediately after graduation. Kristen worked with her father as a marketing consultant until 1999 when she signed on with IBM. After 5 years with IBM (and three years with Lenovo, the company that acquired IBM’s PC division in 2005), Kristen had her first child, and then her second in 2011. Kristen is still with Lenovo as a director, focused on customer web enablement.

Always interested in blogging, parenting viewpoints, and “just for moms” topics, Kristen jumped at the chance to start a Triangle version of Triad Moms on Main. She has combined her love of children, sales and marketing experience, managerial skills, craving for organization, and her knowledge of the Triangle to launch this informative and fun website for moms.

Allison Carter

Allison joined Triangle MOM in November 2012 as a partner, manager, and content contributor. She came to us from a favorite local blog, Notes from a Mom in Chapel Hill, and continues the MiChill mission. Allison is a 2000 graduate of the University of Virginia, and worked at PBS for many years. When she and her husband decided to start a family, Allison took the opportunity to leave the job at PBS and revisit two of her passions: reporting and writing.  In doing so, she found blogging.

As the mother of two young boys, Allison has found that she's also passionate about "going and doing" in the community, and has become quite the local explorer. As she has said on Mom in Chapel Hill, "I believe wholeheartedly in parents supporting parents.  It is certainly the hardest job out there.  Let's be a team." We're so excited to have her join ours!

Tracy Bass

Tracy Bass will serve as our area sales representative. Tracy has lived in the Garner area since she was in the 5th grade.  Growing up a Navy brat she moved around quite a bit until her father got out of the Navy.  Once her father left the Navy, her and her family settled in North Carolina. Tracy has been married to Brian for 24 years and have a wonderful son who is currently serving in the US Navy.  They love animals!  They have two little “fur babies” which are Chihuahua’s, Little Bit and Gypsy.  When they have some down time they enjoy cooking on the grill and just being together.

In addition to her home life Tracy is actively involved in direct sales currently with Initials Inc. and a brand new company, Mia Bath and Body.  She enjoys networking with other business owners and women. Connecting people with a company that serves their needs is an enjoyment to her.

Kimberly Froeschner – Contributing blogger

Kimberly has lived in Zebulon, NC since she was tiny, and graduated from NC State. She recently returned to work after spending nearly two years as an at-home mom with daughter Penelope. The transition from at-home mom to working mom has not been easy, but it’s become the new normal in her house. (It gives her a lot to blog about!) Kimberly also has a step-son who is attending college at UNC.

In addition to her home life and her work life, Kimberly is involved in a group called SCA, an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating pre-17th- century European history. Kimberly describes SCA as “medieval re-enactments – basically living history” and has participated in day, weekend, and week-long adventures with the SCA for many years. In her free time, Kimberly enjoys spending time with her family and friends. We have enjoyed Kimberly’s unique perspective, and I hope you have as well!

Rachel Hoeing –  Triad Moms on Main Co-founder

Rachel is an Appalachian State graduate who started her career as an elementary school teacher directly after graduation.  Rachel taught in the Mecklenburg and Forsyth school systems for eight years, and then decided to change her career to a stay-at-home mom after she had her first child, Jake.  Jake is now nine, he has a sister, Anna, who is seven, and Rachel does just about everything except “stay at home!”   Rachel and her husband Kevin have lived in the Triad for eleven years.  They love to entertain and attend any social event possible.  Rachel is an active volunteer in her children’s schools, as well as the community.   Rachel was a Mary Kay Sales Consultant for the past twelve years, and a tutor for the past seven years prior to her website career.

Rachel has now taken all of her talents and combined her sales experience, love of children, managerial skills, social marketing, love of organization, and her knowledge of the Triad to launch this informative and fun website for moms.

Katie Moosbrugger – Triad Moms on Main Co-founder

Katie moved to Winston-Salem nearly six years ago (en route from Charlotte, en route from Ohio University, en route from a childhood in New Jersey), and she and her husband, Charlie, say every day how lucky they are to have landed in the Triad.Launching this web site was a natural next step for Katie after introducing and co-managing a popular mom/parenting blog in the Triad for two years. Prior to that, she worked for nearly four years as a freelance writer and project manager part-time while raising her daughter, Emily, and son, Henry. And before her life as a stay-at-home mom, she was busy building a 10-year career in the fast-paced world of both agency and corporate public relations.

In her new position as co-founder of Triad Moms On Main, you still find Katie blogging as well as managing the day-to-day operations of the site along with Rachel. She’s so glad you found your way to “Main Street,” and she’s looking forward to sharing the amazing journey of parenthood with each and every reader.

Jenny Stauffer – Tasty Table Author

A relative newcomer to the Triad, but a loyal North-Carolinian, Jenny has only recently added her love of cooking to her list of interests.  After the birth of her two children (Mary Stuart, 6 and Molly, 5), Jenny was eager to reciprocate the love that her own mother poured into cooking wonderful, home-cooked meals each night when she was growing up.

Jenny grew up in Raleigh, NC and graduated from Meredith College with a B.A. in Child Development and a North Carolina K-6 teaching certificate.  From there, she taught Pre-K, 2nd grade, and preschool in Charlotte, NC.  Most recently, her family moved to Winston-Salem and has continued teaching two-year-olds in the preschool setting.   Winston-Salem and the Triad offer the best of both worlds to the Stauffer family, as they are close enough to the big cities of NC, yet small enough to take advantage of great schools, entertainment, and an easier way of life.

From researching recipes, to cooking new and old recipes, and even grocery shopping…alone (!) each weekend , cooking provides a soothing and creative outlet for this mom.   She loves cooking, and loves to share recipes that range from comforting and home-cooked,  to fast, fresh and healthy.
